Explore Excellent Research via the UNDIP Innovation Website

Monday (27/5). Diponegoro University (UNDIP) has expert researchers across various fields of science and expertise. Many research outputs have been produced, including patents and intellectual property, as well as research results in the form of products, ideas, and policies that benefit achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the targets of Key Performance Indicators for Legal Entity State Universities (IKU PTNBH).

The Bureau of Innovation and Cooperation (BIKS), together with the Directorate of Innovation and Industrial Cooperation UNDIP, is organizing the 2024 Diponegoro University Innovation Event, featuring the “Launching of the UNDIP Innovation Application, Coaching Clinic, and Mini Show of Kedaireka Innovation Products” at the UNDIP Conference Hall, ICT Building 5th Floor, Tembalang Campus, Semarang.

The launching of the UNDIP Innovation Application, Coaching Clinic, and Mini Show of Kedaireka Innovation Products aims to enhance the quantity and quality of innovative products created by UNDIP innovators and promote UNDIP innovation products to all stakeholders through the UNDIP Innovation application.

This event aims to improve the quality of research results ready for downstream production and marketing. Besides enhancing and expanding cooperation, relevance, downstream processes, and commercialization of research results with business and industrial sectors, government, MSMEs, other entrepreneurs, and the community, it also aims to increase the quantity and quality of Matching Fund Program (Program Dana Padanan / PDP) proposals to secure more funding from the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI).

Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Cooperation, stated that the development of the UNDIP Innovation website (https://innovation.undip.ac.id/) not only showcases UNDIP’s innovations but is also intended as a bridge for the community to meet the needs of partners (business, industry, government). It also provides services to UNDIP research faculty related to innovation development efforts, creations, and more.

“What we have now is not perfect, and we welcome feedback to improve this website so that it becomes more beneficial for researchers, especially at Diponegoro University,” said Prof. Ambar.

In his closing remarks, Prof. Ambar expressed his gratitude to the Directorate of Innovation and Industrial Cooperation team along with BIKS, especially the Innovation and Cooperation section, for successfully developing this website (https://innovation.undip.ac.id/). He hopes the website will grow and improve significantly in the future.

In her report, Director of Innovation and Industrial Cooperation, drh. Dian Wahyu Harjanti, Ph.D., mentioned that the “UNDIP INNOVATION” application, which will be launched, will serve as a medium for offering creative ideas and accelerating the downstream process of research results from UNDIP’s academic community.

“This innovation application can be accessed by anyone, anywhere, anytime to view and select the desired innovation products from research results. Users can ask questions, rate products, place orders, and request information for collaboration through the available features,” said Dian.

Various collaborations can be carried out, including product and technology development cooperation and downstream cooperation. Through this platform, business and industrial problems or social issues can also be addressed and supported by UNDIP researchers’ expertise.

“A HELP DESK for Downstream Collaboration and Intellectual Property Management connected to this Innovation Application has been provided. In the future, we will develop the UNDIP Innovation Application into an e-commerce platform for UNDIP innovation products,” concluded Dian. (DHW-Public Relations)
