Faculty of Engineering UNDIP Establishes International Collaboration with Ajeenkya DY Patil University India

The Faculty of Engineering at Diponegoro University (FT UNDIP) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Ajeenkya DY Patil University, India on Tuesday (June 4, 2024). The signing ceremony took place on the 3rd floor of Prof. Ir. Eko Budihardjo, M.Sc. Building at FT UNDIP.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T, M.T., welcomed the collaboration with the university. He hopes that this cooperation will benefit both parties in the future. “We hope to expand this cooperation moving forward,” said Prof. Jamari.

Prof. Dr. Vijayakumar Varadarajan, Dean of International Affairs at Ajeenkya DY Patil University, expressed his delight with the collaboration. He hopes that the Faculty of Engineering at UNDIP, as one of their international partners, will continue to maintain close relations and exchange knowledge, aiming to become an internationally recognized quality campus. “We highly appreciate this cooperation. Hopefully, we can continue to work together in the future,” he said.

This collaboration is part of the World Class University (WCU) program initiated by Ir. Aghus Sofwan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D, IPU, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at UNDIP.

As part of the WCU program, Prof. Vijayakumar will deliver public lectures and guide UNDIP Electrical Engineering students, particularly on Cloud Computing. With this WCU program, the Electrical Engineering Department and the Faculty of Engineering at UNDIP will continue to advance and be prepared to become an international-scale research campus.

Ajeenkya DY Patil University is a private university located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Founded by Dr. D.Y. Patil, a former Indian politician and recipient of the Padma Shri award from the Government of India, it is recognized as one of the prestigious private campuses in Maharashtra.

This recognition is shown by its ranking among the top 10 best campuses in the western India region according to BW Legal World and Business World, as well as its School of Engineering being listed among the Top Engineering Institutes (Emerging) according to the Times Engineering Survey 2018.
