UNDIP Achieves National Level of a Good Education Area Performance Ranking

Semarang, Central Java (11/7). Diponegoro University (UNDIP) has once again achieved a commendable accomplishment. UNDIP has been awarded ‘Good’ in the National Ranking in the Performance Supervision Assessment of Compliance with Technical Standards for Areas in 2023 by the Directorate of Space Utilization Control of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency.

Based on the assessment by the Directorate of Space Utilization Control of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency, this ‘Good’ award in the National Ranking was achieved by UNDIP as an educational area. The performance assessment identified three specific areas with a ‘Good’ ranking, with area function performance scores exceeding 80%:

  1. Diponegoro University Area, with an area function performance score of 89%.
  2. Bromo Tengger Semeru Tourism Area at DTW Ranupani, with an area function performance score of 83%.
  3. Old Town Semarang Area, with an area function performance score of 82%.

This achievement is the result of the hard work of all members of UNDIP’s academic community. It not only reinforces UNDIP’s commitment to improving spatial planning performance but also instills confidence in our ability to create quality areas for students.

UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., stated that UNDIP had established a Master Plan for the Tembalang Campus and all its locations, emphasizing the principles of Academic Multidisciplinary Studies & Research, Science & Technology Park, Green and Sustainable Living Learning Community, and controlling space utilization based on this Master Plan.

In 2023, the Directorate of Space Utilization Control, under the Directorate General of Land and Space Control and Order, Ministry of ATR/BPN, conducted Performance Supervision of Compliance with Technical Standards in 13 areas representing the typologies of Educational Areas, Industrial Areas, Urban Housing and Settlement Areas, Tourism Areas, Trade and Service Areas, Green Open Space Areas, and Pedestrian Areas.
