Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), through its Directorate of Student Affairs and Alumni, in collaboration with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), distributed 1,000 nutritious meal packages on Friday, November 22, 2024, at four locations across the UNDIP campus. The financial support for the “Warteg Mobile Universitas Diponegoro” program from BSI was symbolically received by UNDIP’s Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., at the Masjid Kampus UNDIP in Tembalang.
The distribution of 1,000 nutritious meal packages was part of UNDIP’s welfare services for its students. The four distribution points included the Masjid Kampus UNDIP (400 packages), the Faculty of Engineering Mosque (200 packages), the Faculty of Economics and Business Mosque (200 packages), and the Faculty of Science and Mathematics Mosque (200 packages).
Edy Surahmad, S.Pd., M.Si., Director of Student Affairs and Alumni, explained that the concept of distributing nutritious meals aligns with UNDIP’s policies. “This initiative aligns with our leadership’s policy of showing care for students by providing nutritious lunches. This program complements our ongoing UNDIP Food Truck program, which runs from Monday to Thursday. On this Friday, we distributed 1,000 nutritious meal packages to students at four locations, including the Masjid Kampus,” said Edy Surahmad.
He also highlighted that this program is consistent with government efforts to provide nutritious meals to students and builds on initiatives introduced by previous UNDIP leadership. “We hope this program will continue. Not only BSI, but we also hope other institutions will join in demonstrating similar care,” he added.
One recipient of the nutritious meal package, Aldi Winaldy Lubis (Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering, 2024), expressed his gratitude and hopes for the program’s continuity. “I find this initiative truly blessed and fulfilling—a complete package that is InsyaAllah both nutritious and beneficial. I hope this program remains steadfast in providing these nutritious meals,” he concluded.
