Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) actively organizes Joint Exercise activities as part of its efforts to promote employee health within the UNDIP community. The Vocational School at UNDIP Tembalang Campus, Semarang, hosted the event on Friday (November 22, 2024).
The Joint Exercise program, which is held once every two weeks, aims to create a healthy campus environment for the UNDIP academic community. The event was attended by the Rector, Vice Rectors, Deans from various Faculties and Schools, lecturers, educational staff, students, and stakeholders, including UNDIP’s partner banks.
In his speech, UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed his appreciation and enthusiasm for the launch of bottled drinking water branded VOCA, produced by the Teaching Factory of the Vocational School.
“We hope that VOCA drinking water will meet UNDIP’s entire water needs. If the Vocational School can supply all UNDIP’s demands, we will establish free drinking water stations for students, lecturers, and staff in each faculty,” said Prof. Suharnomo.
He added, “Hopefully, this can be realized by 2025. I urge Vice Rectors II and III and the Vocational School to immediately design a management plan for this initiative, as it represents a business opportunity that can replace existing brands.”
The Rector also encouraged all faculties to highlight their comparative advantages to develop unique strengths and sources of pride for their respective units and faculties.
“We firmly believe that the Vocational School can achieve this because the Dean, the team, and everyone involved are highly motivated and possess a champion mentality. Hopefully, this success will inspire other faculties to meet UNDIP’s needs in their unique ways,” concluded Prof. Suharnomo, ending his speech with the spirited slogan ‘Vokasi Juara.’
The event concluded with a group photo session and informal networking. (DHW)
