Physical Fitness of TBPK UNDIP Study Program: Producing a Disciplined and Resilient Generation

Jepara, November 29, 2024 – The Technology and Business of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (Teknologi dan Bisnis Perikanan dan Kelautan / TBPK) Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro, organized a two-week training program from November 4 to 23, 2024. Held at UNDIP’s Jepara campus, the event was attended by 36 students from the TBPK Study Program and aimed to cultivate discipline, resilience, and high integrity among participants.

The program was facilitated by professional trainers from the military and police, including Serma Eko Wahyu R from Koramil II Tahunan and Bripka Hendri Budi Novianto from Polsek Tahunan Jepara. The training included sessions on discipline, dormitory management, and physical activities, with a rigorous schedule running from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily.

Students participated in a variety of physical and mental activities, such as physical conditioning, marching drills, dormitory management, and morning and evening assemblies. Additionally, they were trained in organizational skills and effective instruction techniques to foster strong leadership qualities. A sense of community was emphasized through group activities, including environmental clean-ups around the dormitory and the development of orderly living habits. The program concluded with an outbound activity at Teluk Awur Beach, aimed at fostering a deeper appreciation for the ocean and coastal areas.

“Through this program, we hope TBPK students will excel not only academically but also possess the physical and mental toughness required to face challenges in the fisheries and marine sectors,” said Sergeant Major Eko Wahyu R.

Supported by TBPK uniforms and sportswear, the program underscored the study program’s commitment to producing adaptive and professional graduates. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident in their spirited engagement despite the physical demands of the training.

This training program serves as a tangible representation of TBPK’s efforts to integrate academic and non-academic aspects, shaping students into not only intelligent individuals but also strong characters ready to compete globally. (ES)
