UNDIP, Semarang (February 18) – Updating infrastructure remains a key commitment of UNDIP Library and UNDIP Press in creating a more modern and efficient space to support academic activities. The library’s industrial-style interior combines various types of furniture, lighting, and accessories, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, the UNDIP Library is environmentally friendly, user-friendly, and fully integrated. The newly designed tables and chairs minimize physical barriers, while enhanced information search technology and an ergonomic layout further improve accessibility.
According to the Head of UNDIP Library and UNDIP Press, Suwondo, S.Hum., M.Kom., the combination of industrial and natural design, bright lighting, and internationally standardized reading spaces provides students with a comfortable environment for learning, reading, and discussions. With comprehensive facilities and a welcoming atmosphere, UNDIP Library has become a favorite spot for students to work on assignments. Many students spend long hours in the library, making it a popular literacy destination even for visitors from outside UNDIP.
“UNDIP Library and UNDIP Press actively participate in activities that support the university’s vision and mission, such as book writing training and providing academic resources for research, community service, and scholarly studies. These initiatives contribute to the achievement of the Key Performance Indicators for Repository and Literacy. The library continues to adapt to technological advancements, ensuring its extensive collection of academic resources serves as a reference point for the university community in pursuing excellence in research,” Suwondo added.
