UNDIP Conducts Socialization on New Student Admission at SMAN 1 Temanggung and Encourage Students to Choose Programs Based on Their Potential

UNDIP, Semarang (February 12) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) continues to introduce admission pathways to prospective students actively. Through the Institute for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (Lembaga Pengembangan dan Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan / LP2MP) and the Directorate of Media Networks, Communities, and Public Communication, UNDIP organized a 2025 New Student Admission socialization event at various high schools across Jawa Tengah.

One such event was held at SMAN 1 Temanggung on February 12, 2025. The UNDIP team, led by Annisa Firdauzi, S.P., M.P., a lecturer from the Agribusiness Study Program at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, presented the advantages of UNDIP as a leading research university with both national and international accreditations.

With the theme “Unleash Your Potential, Ignite Your Future,” Annisa introduced UNDIP’s various study programs, including the International Undergraduate Program (IUP). During the interactive session, students showed great enthusiasm when asked about the capacity of each program.

The Principal of SMAN 1 Temanggung, Drs. Teguh Wibowo, M.M., expressed his appreciation for the UNDIP team’s presence, which provided valuable insights and motivation for students. “We hope this socialization can be held annually. Direct information from UNDIP is highly beneficial in helping our students make well-informed decisions about their higher education,” he stated.

UNDIP also showcased various facilities supporting both academic and extracurricular activities, such as the Integrated Laboratory, Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND), student dormitories (Rusunawa), an international-standard basketball court, and 46 Student Activity Units designed to help students develop soft skills.

During the event, Annisa explained the three main admission pathways to UNDIP:

  1. SNBP (Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Prestasi) / National Selection Based on Achievement – 20% quota
  2. SNBT (Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Tes)/ National Selection Based on Test – 30% quota
  3. Independent Admission – 50% quota

She emphasized the importance of choosing a study program that aligns with students’ academic performance, interests, and available quotas. Additionally, she reminded students accepted through SNBP to complete their registration to avoid a blacklist that could impact their juniors in the following years.

According to the 2025 National Selection for New Student Admissions (Seleksi Nasional Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru / SNPMB) schedule, SNBP registration is open from February 4 to February 18, 2025, while the UTBK-SNBT test is scheduled for March 11 to March 27, 2025.
