Two UNDIP’s Prospective Professors Present Outstanding Academic Works

UNDIP, Semarang (July 31, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) held another Plenary Session as part of the academic selection process for professorship appointments, featuring two faculty members: Dr. Wiramono, S.E., Akt., M.Si. from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), and Dr. Tri Indah, S.Si., M.Si. from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM). The session, held before the University’s Board of Professors and Academic Commission, marked the final stage of evaluation before the conferral of the highest academic rank.

The event was officially opened by the Chair of the Board of Professors, Prof. Dr. Ir. Purwanto, DEA, and was attended by members of the Academic Senate, professors, faculty staff, and students from both faculties. Each candidate delivered a presentation of their academic work, demonstrating their scholarly contributions and impact on society.

The first candidate, Dr. Wiramono from the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, presented his work titled “Development of a Risk Management and Collective Accounting Model Based on Integrity in the Public Sector.” His research explores innovations in financial risk management and institutional accountability, grounded in the principle of integrity, with a focus on applications within public sector institutions. He has fulfilled all administrative and academic requirements, including publications in reputable international journals and complete documentation as mandated by the ACD Commission and the faculty.

The second candidate, Dr. Tri Indah from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, presented her research titled “Development of Antimicrobial Calcium Phosphate Materials for Post-Surgical Bone Fracture and Infection Prevention.” Her study focuses on biomaterial solutions designed to reduce the risk of bone infections and accelerate fracture recovery. Two of her scientific articles have been published in accredited international journals and are considered highly relevant to cutting-edge research in healthcare and material sciences.

In the university’s official statement, representatives noted that the nomination process has undergone rigorous administrative, academic, and non-academic assessments. Recommendation letters and endorsements from both faculty deans have been submitted to the commission, with no issues found regarding either normative compliance or scientific substance.

This plenary session serves as the final step before the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia officially appoints the new professors. Beyond recognizing academic dedication, the nominations are expected to enhance the university’s reputation and foster a more productive and innovative research environment.
