UNDIP, Semarang (August 30, 2025) – Students from various disciplines at Universitas Diponegoro took part in a workshop under the Student Entrepreneurship Program (Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha / PMW) with the theme “Operational Management, Mitigation Strategies, and Digital Financial Risk.” The workshop was held at the auditorium of the Entrepreneurship Clinic and Business Incubator, located on the fourth floor of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNDIP, Tembalang, Semarang.
The session was attended by students who received PMW 2025 funding.
Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., UNDIP Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, said entrepreneurship can begin at any time—even during college. “You can start being an entrepreneur anytime, including as a student. But remember, a student’s main task is to complete their studies first,” he said.
He added that entrepreneurship is an area where individuals can explore themselves without limits, as long as they remain good citizens and respect public order.
The workshop aimed to train students to build skills, competencies, and insights that can be applied in their entrepreneurial journeys.
Speakers included Ramya Daksa Mardhana, S.E., M.B.A., Head of Sales at PT Sier, and Idris, S.E., M.Si., a PMW 2025 supervising lecturer, who both addressed the topic of business strategy.
Ramya emphasized that business is more than just selling. “Business isn’t only about sales. To manage a business, there are aspects we need to maintain, such as relationships with customers, government, and related agencies,” he said.
He added that starting a business requires several key steps, including conducting market research, selecting the right strategy, choosing reliable partners, and more. Long-term success, he noted, depends on how effectively a business strategy is designed and executed.
Meanwhile, Idris introduced the ‘Si Apik’ application, which helps students track the financial records of their ventures. He also guided students through the registration process and provided hands-on practice.
Through this workshop, organizers hope students will apply the knowledge gained to their businesses, while fostering creativity and innovation to ensure their ventures continue to grow and remain competitive. (Public Communication/ UNDIP/ Nabila&As)
