UNDIP, Jepara (September 13, 2025) – The Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) organized UNDIP Writing Camp Batch 2 as part of its efforts to enhance scientific writing capacity among early-career lecturers at the university.
Previously, UNDIP had held the same program under the name UNDIP Writing Camp Batch 1 for an earlier batch. This activity aims to foster an academic tradition through high-quality and impactful scientific writing. The two-day camp took place at UNDIP’s Jepara campus on September 12–13, 2025.
In his opening remarks, Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., UNDIP’s Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, Collaboration, and Public Communication, emphasized that the writing camp is not just a training session but a movement to build a culture of writing in higher education. “Through the Writing Camp, we want to support the academic community, especially young lecturers, to produce works that not only meet academic standards but also make a tangible contribution to society and the advancement of knowledge,” he said.
UNDIP Writing Camp Batch 2 involved young lecturers with an H-index above 10 in the science and technology field. An H-index of 10 indicates that a scholar has published at least ten scientific papers, each of which has been cited at least ten times by other researchers. Participants gained insights into publication strategies as well as practical and engaging writing techniques.
The program is expected to increase the number of scientific works from the UNDIP academic community published in national and international journals, strengthening UNDIP’s reputation as a leading research university.
Through the implementation of Writing Camp Batch 2, UNDIP reaffirmed its commitment to encouraging its academic community to remain productive in writing, strengthen the academic tradition, and contribute to the development of research, innovation, and scientific knowledge.
UNDIP Writing Camp Batch 2 is part of the “Noble and Valuable UNDIP” initiative and is supporting the Diktisaintek Berdampak program from the Ministry. (Public Communication/ UNDIP/ Ut)
