UNDIP, Semarang (November 3, 2025) – The Prof. Sudarto Building at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) was filled with enthusiasm as hundreds of students attended the Cinema Day in Campus event on Monday, November 3, 2025. The event was a collaborative effort between Leo Pictures and UNDIP, forming part of the promotional series for Leo Pictures’ latest film, “Sosok Ketiga Lintrik.” The event featured prominent figures from Indonesia’s film industry, including Aulia Sarah, Adinda Thomas, Saputra Kori, Vidya Talisa Ariestya, Agung Saputra, and Ahmad Fesdi Anggoro.
Carrying the theme “Transforming Creativity, Film, and Content into Entrepreneurship Projects,” the program served as a valuable opportunity for students to learn firsthand about the filmmaking process, character development, and the career journeys of the cast and creators behind “Sosok Ketiga Lintrik.”
The Governor of Jawa Tengah, Komjen Pol (P) Drs. Ahmad Luthfi S.H., S.St., M.K., represented by Audrie Oktarina, S.E., M.MPar., Sub-Coordinator of Human Resource and Creative Economy Development at the Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office of Jawa Tengah, expressed great appreciation for Leo Pictures’ initiative to collaborate with educational institutions in strengthening the regional creative industry ecosystem. According to her, the event was not merely entertainment but also a platform to foster creativity and nurture young filmmaking talent in Jawa Tengah.
She emphasized that film is not only an art form but also a medium for education, social reflection, and a driver of the creative economy.
“When the film industry enters campuses, it unites critical thinking with creative imagination. Students are no longer just spectators — they are idea producers and agents of change,” she stated.
She went on to highlight that the film industry requires the courage to tell stories, think differently, and work collaboratively — values that align with the Jateng Gayeng Mboten Korupsi, Mboten Ngapusi (Jawa Tengah’s integrity campaign). She urged young people to become agents of change with integrity, uphold moral values, and positively utilize technology and media to inspire society. “Let films and creative works be pathways to strengthen national character and reinforce Indonesia’s unity,” she concluded.
Representing UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., Vice Rector IV Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed pride in the successful organization of the event. He hoped that such collaborations would open broader opportunities for students to enter and thrive in the global film industry. “We hope that one day, it won’t just be Indonesians learning Korean, but Koreans, Americans, and Germans learning Indonesian,” he said optimistically.
He also expressed his aspiration for Indonesian films to be watched by billions around the world, inspiring big dreams and great ideas among the nation’s youth. “We hope that Indonesian films will be watched by many people across the globe, becoming a medium that nurtures the dreams and imagination of Indonesia’s younger generations,” he added.
From the industry’s perspective, “Sosok Ketiga Lintrik” producer Agung Saputra emphasized that everyone has equal opportunities to succeed — as long as they are not afraid to take risks and fail. He encouraged students to dream big and pursue those dreams with persistence. “We can learn any skill as long as we dare to dream big. Don’t just dream — chase it until it becomes reality,” he said.
He also underlined the importance of networking and perseverance.
“Nothing goes to waste when we are willing to try. Everyone has the same opportunity to grow, explore, and become the person they aspire to be,” he concluded.
The Cinema Day in Campus event served as an inspiring platform for UNDIP students to gain deeper insight into the film industry while sharpening their creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship skills in the creative sector. In addition to discussions, the program featured a Q&A session and exclusive screenings of the trailer and behind-the-scenes footage from “Sosok Ketiga Lintrik”, which is set for nationwide release on November 6, 2025.
With the spirit of collaboration between academia and industry, the event marks a tangible step toward shaping a generation of creative, courageous, and globally competitive filmmakers. (Public Communication/UNDIP/Nabila L)
