UNDIP, Semarang (November 6, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) continued the second day of its 180th Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, held at the Muladi Dome Multipurpose Building, Tembalang Campus. The event became even more meaningful with the presence of Mia Khrisna Anggraini, S.T., M.Sc., an alumna of UNDIP’s Chemical Engineering Department and now Senior Vice President of Business Transformation & Optimization at Pertamina Patra Niaga, who delivered a motivational and inspiring message to the new graduates on how to achieve success.
Unlike typical motivational talks, Mia invited the graduates to start charting their next steps immediately after the ceremony, emphasizing that “success has to be designed.” “Success needs to be designed with a clear goal, a measurable strategy, and well-prepared readiness,” she said.
Mia encouraged everyone to begin by recognizing and understanding themselves through a personal SWOT analysis, enabling them to map out steps and opportunities most relevant to their potential and life goals. By doing so, graduates can identify which skills to develop, which experiences to seek, and which networks to build.
She further reminded them that when designing one’s life journey, a person should not rely solely on one plan. Instead, several alternatives should be prepared to ensure resilience when one path doesn’t yield the expected results.
Mia also emphasized that titles or material achievements do not solely measure success, but by the value of one’s contribution to others.
“We may make plans, but we must not dictate to God. The scenario that God chooses for us is always the best. To be a noble person means to be beneficial, where goodness is always tied to effort and integrity,” she expressed.
In closing, Mia urged the graduates not to overlook the opportunities and blessings around them, and never to forget that parental support and prayers often form the foundation of their greatest success. “Above all things, the prayers and blessings of our parents are what lead us to the best ending in the life we dream of,” she concluded.
Her heartfelt words filled the auditorium with quiet reflection—not out of silence, but from the deep resonance they sparked in every listener’s heart.
A total of 873 graduates participated in this stage of the ceremony, comprising 141 from the Faculty of Law, 635 from the Faculty of Engineering, and 97 from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Of these, 458 graduates earned cum laude honors—a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and discipline throughout their studies. The solemn ceremony was part of the Open Session of the Academic Senate, marking a new chapter as the graduates step into the professional world and community service.
On this occasion, UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., extended his appreciation to the graduates, affirming that UNDIP alumni are known for being hardworking, loyal, and strong in character—qualities that enable them to quickly adapt and excel across professional sectors both nationally and globally.
“Even though we are a regional university, our quality must be present and recognized on the global stage,” he stated.
In his graduation report, Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Ir. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., also expressed appreciation to high-achieving graduates for their academic and research accomplishments, including:
