UNDIP, Semarang (November 18, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) received the symbolic handover of the 2025 BSI Scholarship Program on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Rector’s Meeting Room, Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus. This event was held in collaboration with Universitas Diponegoro and Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to support improvements in educational quality and student welfare.
This year, the total assistance provided reached Rp5.1 billion, benefiting 64 students. Of that number, 35 students received the ‘unggulan’ scheme (premium) scholarship, which covers full tuition until graduation, monthly living allowances, and laptop support to aid the learning process.
Ficko Hardowiseto, Regional CEO of BSI Region 7 Semarang, stated that this year’s distribution is the largest since the program began. “This year marks the biggest distribution in the program’s history, with a total of IDR 5.1 billion and 64 beneficiaries. We hope this scholarship motivates UNDIP students to achieve their best performance,” he said.
He also emphasized BSI’s commitment to supporting student development through social and educational programs.
“Our tagline is ‘financial partner, social partner, and spiritual partner.’ Through this program, we want to realize that commitment concretely,” he added.
In his remarks, UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed hope that the scholarship program will not only have an academic impact but also help shape the recipients’ character. “The best person is the one who brings the most benefit to others. This action must become the moral foundation and spirit for all scholarship recipients,” he stated.
The Rector added that the scholarship is expected to motivate students to develop their potential and contribute positively to society.
“May all scholarship recipients become successful individuals who bring benefits to many people,” he said.
Through the 2025 BSI Scholarship Program distribution, Universitas Diponegoro hopes that the collaboration with BSI will continue to expand access to education, strengthen academic quality, and shape a competitive and high-integrity young generation. (Public Communication/UNDIP/Hng)
