UNDIP, Semarang (1/4) – The Rector of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., was entrusted to moderate the Regional Executive Program (PED) – Central Java Leadership Dialogue Forum themed “Developing Innovation, Strengthening Collaboration, and Upholding Integrity” on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Sasana Widya Praja Building, Central Java.
The event was organized by the Regional Human Resource Development Agency (BPSDMD) of Central Java Province, with the Governor of Central Java, Komjen Pol. (Purn.) Drs. Ahmad Luthfi, S.H., S.St.M.K., serving as the keynote speaker.
With a clear, engaging, and human-centered communication style, Prof. Suharnomo effectively guided the forum, attended by the Governor, administrative officials within the Central Java Provincial Government, and civil servants (ASN) from provincial and regency/city governments across Central Java, both online and offline. His facilitation created a warm, interactive, and conducive discussion environment.
“Please feel free to engage interactively with the Governor—serious yet relaxed,” he remarked.
Prof. Suharnomo also emphasized that leadership requires action, not merely position. Leadership can be demonstrated at any level of authority without waiting for formal roles. “Leadership is actions, not position,” he affirmed.
In his presentation, Komjen Pol. Ahmad Luthfi highlighted that government bureaucracy must function as a service-oriented system, requiring civil servants to be fast, responsive, adaptive, and capable of delivering real solutions to societal challenges. “Civil servants must be quick, responsive, and able to solve problems for the community,” he stated.
The Central Java Leadership Dialogue Forum serves as an important platform for fostering two-way productive communication between regional leaders, deputy leaders, and civil servants—particularly echelon II and III officials—amid the diverse development challenges faced by Central Java.
For the Governor and Deputy Governor, the forum is not only a medium for conveying policy directions but also a space to directly hear ideas and input from civil servants. Likewise, for civil servants across Central Java, the forum provides a valuable opportunity to understand policy directions while contributing ideas for regional progress.
