UNDIP Strengthens Its Position Among Indonesia’s Top Four Universities with 30 PKM Proposals Securing National Funding Through Cross-Faculty Synergy in 2026

UNDIP, Semarang (26/5) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has once again achieved a remarkable milestone in the national student scientific competition arena. Based on the official announcement from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology regarding the 2026 Student Creativity Program (PKM) selection results, UNDIP successfully strengthened its position as the 4th-ranked university nationally, with 30 PKM proposals receiving full funding.

This prestigious achievement places UNDIP among Indonesia’s leading autonomous universities alongside top institutions such as Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS), and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). The accomplishment further reinforces UNDIP’s reputation as a World-Class University that consistently provides a competitive, adaptive, and inclusive research ecosystem for its academic community.

Togetherness and Inclusive Values Across All Faculties

Responding to this encouraging news, UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed his deep appreciation to all members of the Diponegoro academic community who contributed to this success. He emphasized that the achievement is not merely a numerical accomplishment but a reflection of the strong spirit of collaboration within the university.

“I extend my deepest appreciation to our students, supervising lecturers, and the UNDIP PKM Center team who have worked together tirelessly. Achieving 4th place nationally is the result of collective hard work. At UNDIP, no faculty works in isolation; every academic discipline plays an equal role and strengthens one another in harmony. This is a victory for all of our faculties,” said Prof. Suharnomo.

Echoing this sentiment, UNDIP Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Ir. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., stated that this achievement serves as a strong source of motivation, particularly because UNDIP has been entrusted to host PIMNAS 2026 (the 39th National Student Scientific Week).
