The signing ceremony took place on May 5, 2026, at the Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP. UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., accompanied by the Director of Innovation and Cooperation, drh. Dian Wahyu Harjanti, Ph.D., and university officials welcomed YCAB representatives led by Linda Sukandar, Chief Operating Officer of YCAB, along with her team.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to enhancing human resource quality, expanding access to education, and increasing learning opportunities for young people. UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si. and YCAB Chief Operating Officer Linda Sukandar formally signed the MoU and Cooperation Agreement. The signing marks the beginning of a joint commitment to contribute to national development and create a positive impact on society.

In his remarks, Rector Suharnomo warmly welcomed the partnership, noting that it aligns with UNDIP’s tagline, “Noble and Valuable UNDIP”. He emphasized that the initiative aims to help students continue their education, particularly those from families living in extreme poverty.

“UNDIP has allocated approximately IDR 8 billion in collaboration with regional governments, partners, community members, and alumni. We hope that this partnership with YCAB will become another meaningful step in supporting the community,” explained Prof. Suharnomo.

YCAB Chief Operating Officer Linda Sukandar stated that the partnership is an honor for YCAB and allows the foundation to contribute to education, research, and community service initiatives. “We believe that quality education, supported by research, can break the cycle of poverty. We are committed to empowering marginalized youth and strengthening family economies through micro and even ultra-micro economic development,” said Linda.

Through this collaboration, YCAB aims to reach and nurture more future leaders. “By providing scholarships, we encourage young people to continue learning and become pillars of stronger families. We also engage them in entrepreneurship programs, such as batik-making classes, which help increase the value and appreciation of Indonesian cultural products,” she added.

The partnership between the two institutions serves as a bridge for developing solutions and innovations. Building on this initial step, both parties hope to expand their collaboration through joint research and social projects that actively involve young people in sustainable, impactful initiatives.
