UNDIP, Semarang (9/5) – A delegation from Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) achieved remarkable success by being named the Grand Champion ofIgnite Future Fest 2026, a prestigious national-level competition organized by UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The event culminated on April 4, 2026.
Accompanied by faculty advisor Sigit Munandar, M.Ak., the UNDIP delegation secured a total of 15 awards across various competition categories, ranging from Essay Writing to Business Plan competitions. This achievement further reinforces UNDIP’s reputation as a university excelling in research, innovation, and interdisciplinary problem-solving.

One of the delegation representatives described the achievement as an extraordinary experience, noting that they competed against students from many of Indonesia’s leading universities. Strong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration were crucial to developing and presenting innovative ideas.
“This competition provided a valuable platform for us to test how our innovations could offer real solutions to societal challenges. From conducting research to delivering presentations, we learned a great deal about time management, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and persuasive communication,” the representative stated.
The representative also expressed hope that this accomplishment would inspire other UNDIP students to actively participate in competitions and continue producing impactful work at both national and international levels. “We hope this spirit of innovation continues to grow, enabling us to make even greater contributions to our university and the nation in the future,” they added.
Winning the Grand Champion title was the result of extensive preparation, intensive mentoring from faculty advisors, and the unwavering commitment of every team member to perform at their best. The achievement highlights the academic excellence and competitiveness of UNDIP students across diverse fields of study.
The success of the Universitas Diponegoro delegation at Ignite Future Fest 2026 serves as tangible evidence of the university’s ability to foster innovation, collaboration, and nationally competitive ideas.
