FISIP UNDIP and Diskomdigi of Central Java Strengthen Synergy in Development Communication and Graduate Competency Enhancement

UNDIP, Semarang (20/2) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) and the Central Java Office of Communication, Informatics, and Digital Affairs (Diskomdigi) officially established a partnership through the signing of a cooperation agreement on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Gradhika Bhakti Praja, Semarang. This collaboration marks a strategic step toward strengthening the dissemination of regional development information while enhancing the quality of graduates through active engagement in public communication and digital platforms.

The cooperation agreement was signed by Agung Hariyadi, Head of Diskomdigi Central Java, and Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin, Dean of FISIP UNDIP. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi and provincial leaders, coinciding with the Collaborative Award 2026 organized by the Provincial Government of Central Java. The presence of government officials and academics underscored the significance of this partnership as a concrete example of collaboration between higher education institutions and regional governments in promoting development through effective communication.

Through this partnership, FISIP UNDIP students will have the opportunity to participate in internship programs within government institutions, engage in joint research activities, and contribute to the production and dissemination of development communication content. These opportunities are expected not only to enrich students’ practical experience but also to reinforce FISIP’s role within a knowledge ecosystem that responds to society’s evolving needs.

The collaboration between FISIP UNDIP and Diskomdigi Central Java reflects both institutions’ commitment to strengthening public communication and disseminating development information through adaptive approaches in the digital era. Through active involvement in implementing this partnership, FISIP UNDIP aims to continue making meaningful contributions to regional development while enhancing the quality of graduates, equipping them to meet future professional challenges.
