UNDIP, Semarang (4/2) – The Engineer Professional Program (PSPPI) Faculty of Engineering UNDIP once again confirmed 94 engineers from Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program and 11 new engineers from regular program in the 14th Engineer Swearing-in event held at the Engineering Hall, Prof. Ir. Eko Budihardjo, M.Sc. Building, 5th floor, on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026.
The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program itself is a program for the equivalency or recognition of learning outcomes achieved after completing an undergraduate degree. This RPL program constitutes the recognition of an individual’s learning outcomes, acquired through formal, non-formal, or informal education and/or work experience, for the purpose of formal education. Engineering Professional Program Study Program (PSPPI). The Faculty of Engineering of Universitas Diponegoro is one of the study programs at UNDIP that accepts students through the RPL pathway.
On this occasion, the Head of PSPPI Faculty of Engineering UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Ir. Widayat, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng. revealed, currently PSPPI has graduated 1276 engineers since it was established seven years ago. This accomplishment is proof of the dedication from the Faculty of Engineering of UNDIP in building the country by printing qualified engineers.
“The number of engineers in this period increased by 105, so that the total number of PSPPI graduates is 1276. Alhamdulillah, we have continued the Regular program. The regular in this period is still 11 people, and almost dominated by the Recognition of Prior Learning program,” he said.
Prof. Widayat hopes that this graduation will be a starting point for new engineers who graduated from the Faculty of Engineering of UNDIP to continue working and building Indonesia in a more ethical and professional way.
“We as the organizers of course can only hope that the fulfillment of this engineering degree is not to stop, but it should be the beginning, because it has been fulfilled legally, ethically, we have followed the Law on Engineering,” he said.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamari, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., emphasized the importance of graduates upholding the good name of Universitas Diponegoro and the engineering title they have earned. “This engineering title is not merely a designation, it carries an immense responsibility. Especially after the oath is taken. Therefore, we must put this principle into practice in the field,” he advised.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the PII Central Java Region, Dr. T. Ir. Herry Ludiro Wahyono, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., along with the leaders of the PII Central Java Region and Semarang Branch Office. Representatives from various industries collaborating with the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), were also present.
The event included the recitation of the engineers’ oath led by the Chairman of the PII Central Java Region, congratulatory messages from the leaders, and a closing speech by the newly confirmed engineer representative, Ir.
