UNDIP, Semarang (22/5) – The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Diponegoro, once again held the “4th International Conference on Culture and Sustainable Development (ICOCAS) 2026” as part of a series of celebrations for the Faculty’s anniversary. Embracing the spirit of global collaboration and cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas, this international conference serves as an academic space to discuss various strategic issues related to culture, society, and environmental sustainability.
This year, ICOCAS 2026 carries the theme “Rethinking Environmental Sustainability in Indonesia: Environmental Justice and Community Resilience.” This theme highlights the crucial role of the humanities in understanding and responding to the challenges of environmental sustainability, ecological justice, and community resilience amidst increasingly complex global change.
ICOCAS 2026 will be held on August 4th–5th, 2026, in Semarang, Indonesia, and will bring together academics, practitioners, and observers of social and cultural issues from various countries. Through international seminars and discussion forums, participants will be invited to exchange perspectives, build academic networks, and create impactful collaborations.
This conference also provides a valuable opportunity for researchers to present their latest research findings, expand international collaborations, and explore multidisciplinary approaches to addressing contemporary environmental and social issues.
