Diponegoro University held a Participant Release for Indonesian “International Student Mobility Awards” (IISMA) and “International Credit Transfer” (ICT) at Diponegoro University 2021. The event held on September 7th 2021 invited policy makers at Diponegoro University and awardees who received scholarships for the IISMA and ICT programs which were held by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology in collaboration with Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan / LPDP).
The IISMA program is a student exchange program organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in collaboration with universities throughout Indonesia. The university will send its students to carry out the teaching and learning process for 1 semester at IISMA and ICT partner universities abroad. In 2021, Diponegoro University sends 42 students to study at some of the best universities in the world, including: University of Pennsylvania, United States of America; University of Pisa, Italy; Tohoku University, Japan; University of Maastricht, The Netherlands, as well as several world-renowned campuses.
Present on the agenda, Director of Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni of Diponegoro University, Hanifa Maherdanny, Ph.D., delivered her messages to the IISMA awardees. She hoped that Diponegoro University students would always be healthy and could become representatives of the Indonesian Nation at their respective universities. In line with this, the Head of International Affairs Office, Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, Ph.D., said that she hoped that IISMA program awardee students can take as much experience as possible. “The experience obtained from the programs can be a provision later when they return to Indonesia to participate in building our nation,” she added.
