It is planned that the students will conduct a research for approximately the next 2 months at Semarang and Pekalongan regions. The students consisted from Grenada, Fiji, Mexico, Mauritius and one of them is from Indonesia itself. For the research, they will examine issues and problems in the coastal areas of Semarang City, Pekalongan City and Pekalongan Regency such as tidal flooding, drainage, coastal ecosystems, and its relationship with the community and the economy in the coastal area.
Some Diponegoro University lecturers had the opportunity to become Co-Mentors in their research to support a multidisciplinary approach, including Environmental Engineering, Oceanography, Civil Engineering, Regional and Urban Planning, Industrial Engineering, Geological Engineering, Economic Sciences and Development Studies. In addition, this activity also received support from PU SDA TARU and the ESDM Office of Central Java.
