UNDIP Strengthens Collaboration with DIT Timor Leste

Diponegoro University (UNDIP) has agreed to establish a partnership with the Dili Institute of Technology (DIT). The collaboration was officially marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the Rector’s Conference Room at the Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus.

The partnership between UNDIP and DIT encompasses enhancing academic and research achievements, student exchanges, expanding cultural and social values, and fostering innovation. The Rector of UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo S.E., M.Si., and the Rector of DIT, Dr. Salustiano Dos Reis Piedade, S.T., M.Sc, signed the MoU.

Prof. Dr. Suharnomo S.E., M.Si., the Rector of UNDIP, warmly welcomed the collaboration with DIT. He believes that this partnership will have a positive impact on both institutions.

“We highly appreciate this cooperation. We have previously established collaboration and conducted various positive activities. We also note that several UNDIP alumni are working at DIT. This creates a bond and strength to expand our cooperation in the future,” explained Prof. Suharnomo.

“We welcome this opportunity and hope that this cooperation can be expanded through good collaboration, benefiting both parties,” Prof. Suharnomo added.

On the same occasion, the Rector of DIT, Dr. Salustiano Dos Reis Piedade, S.T., M.Sc., expressed pride and great enthusiasm for partnering with UNDIP. “By collaborating with UNDIP, we will learn much from UNDIP, as one of the leading and excellent universities in Indonesia, and we can achieve many things and create positive changes,” said Dr. Salustiano Dos Reis Piedade.

DIT believes that the MoU with UNDIP will further develop cooperation, leading to many more achievements and strengthening the relationship between the two institutions. This partnership is also an essential step for teaching, research, and community service processes.

“We hope that through this collaboration, UNDIP can assist DIT in sending professors in the field of Business Administration to teach master’s and doctoral students at DIT. In terms of research, we can produce significant and positively impactful knowledge for the people of Indonesia and Timor Leste,” said Rector DIT Dr. Salustiano Dos Reis Piedade, S.T., M.Sc.
