UNDIP and Shrimp Club Indonesia Develop Shrimp Cultivation

Rector of Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., together with the Chairman of Shrimp Club Indonesia (SCI), Haris Muhtadi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Diponegoro University and Shrimp Club Indonesia on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Widya Puraya Building, Diponegoro University.

This Memorandum of Understanding covers the Development of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The signing was witnessed directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) UNDIP, Prof. Ir. Tri Winarni Agustini, M.Sc., Ph.D., the Head of the Bureau of Innovation and Cooperation, Dwi Cahyo Agus Setyawan, SKM., M.Si., FPIK lecturers, and SCI administrators. Diponegoro University and Shrimp Club Indonesia agreed to collaborate in the fields of education, research, and community service.

Haris Muhtadi, the Chairman of Shrimp Club Indonesia (SCI), explained that SCI is an organization where shrimp farmers in Indonesia gather. Through SCI, shrimp farmers can stay informed about developments in the shrimp industry both in Indonesia and globally.

“UNDIP has a very advanced Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, which is why we are interested in collaborating with UNDIP. Hopefully, this collaboration with UNDIP is the beginning of a futuristic partnership that can support our productivity,” Haris added.

The UNDIP Rector welcomed this collaboration and thanked SCI. He stated that collaboration is essential, and both parties must communicate their common goals. With an MoU like this, both parties can develop in the areas of education, research, and community service. (Ani-Public Relations)
