UNDIP Rector Gives Mandate to New Lecturers: Teach Relevant Knowledge

On Thursday, August 22, 2024, the Rector of Diponegoro University led the ceremony for the issuance of Civil Servant Appointment Decrees (SK CPNS) within the UNDIP environment for the 2023 period. The event was held in the Rector’s Meeting Room at the Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP, and was attended by the Vice Rector for Human Resources, Deans of Faculty/School, and guests. A total of 19 individuals received their SK CPNS and will subsequently be placed in various faculties and schools at UNDIP.

UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., welcomed the new employees who have officially joined the UNDIP family. “Congratulations to all of you who were accepted from among many applicants. Let’s work with excellence and inspire,” he encouraged.

Prof. Suharnomo emphasized that campus life should have meaning through deliverable activities that create contributions and added value. The teaching and learning process in the classroom must align with a comprehensive curriculum. He also advised the new employees to always work with enthusiasm, saying, “Remember that the fatigue from working is better than the fatigue from searching for a job. For the lecturers, teaching is a process of imparting knowledge that should be beneficial and can become an ongoing charity. Teach relevant knowledge, including external insights, research, and partnerships with industry.”

Continuing the implementation of UNDIP’s vision as a leading research university, all elements at UNDIP, including the lecturers, are oriented towards creating an inclusive environment for students to develop. Looking ahead, UNDIP hopes to produce more graduates who embody the COMPLETE qualities (Communicator, Professional, Leader, Thinker, Entrepreneur, Educator) and are highly competitive with exceptional quality.
