UNDIP Wins Bronze Medal at World Invention and Technology Expo (WINTEX) 2024

Diponegoro University (UNDIP) students have once again achieved a proud accomplishment. The X-cutive UNDIP team, consisting of Maulana Fadullah (Faculty of Humanities), Hasna Nuraini Fatihah (Faculty of Medicine), Talitha Zarifah Anwar (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences), Regina Septianti Aris Rizqia (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences), Dimas Cahyadi (Faculty of Psychology), and Clarissa Wijaya (Faculty of Psychology), along with their supervising lecturer Dr. Sari Listyorini, S.Sos, M.AB, successfully won the Bronze Medal at the World Invention and Technology Expo (WINTEX) 2024 at the International Indonesia Inventors Day event, held on August 28-31, 2024, at the Aston Convention Center Hotel in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, organized by the Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA).

The X-cutive team earned the Bronze Medal by addressing the daycare issue in Indonesia as the foundation for creating the Charing Cub website, an online platform for accessing daycare services and childcare providers. This innovation is considered highly potential, supported by SDGs numbers 5, 8, and 16, which address gender equality, decent work and economic growth, as well as peace, justice, and strong institutions.

Indonesia Inventors Day is an exhibition and competition event held to recognize and appreciate the contributions of Indonesian innovators. The event generally focuses on promoting innovation, introducing new inventions, and appreciating innovative works that have had a positive impact on society and technological development in Indonesia.

Indonesia Inventors Day is organized by INNOPA (Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association), an organization focused on promoting inventions and innovation in Indonesia. This year, IID was attended by more than 451 works from 25 countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Russia, Oman, China, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Macao, Croatia, Romania, India, USA, Egypt, Poland, Vietnam, Sudan, and Iran. Through Indonesia Inventors Day, it is hoped that more people will be motivated to continue innovating and generating creative ideas that can be applied in various fields such as technology, health, energy, and others.
