UNDIP Community Service Team Exhibits Boyolali Regency’s Leading Products and Innovations

In line with Diponegoro University’s tagline, “UNDIP Dignified and Beneficial,” UNDIP deployed 594 Community Service (Kuliah Kerja Nyata / KKN) Team II students to Boyolali Regency, spread across seven sub-districts: Ampel, Sambi, Simo, Kemusu, Wongsonegoro, Wonosamodro, and Juwangi.

As the culmination of the UNDIP Community Service Team II activities for the 2023/2024 Academic Year, the Community Service Team II students deployed in the Boyolali Regency organized an Exhibition Event on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the Sambi Sub-district Office, Boyolali, Central Java. The exhibition, which raised the theme “Echoes of Boyolali’s Success,” featured various flagship products from each sub-district.

The KKN Work Exhibition was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Psychology, Dr. phil Dian Veronika Sakti Kaloeti, S.Psi., M.Psi.; the Community Service Lecturer Coordinator for Boyolali Regency; Acting Head of Sambi Sub-district, Sarwanto; and the Field Supervising Lecturers for Community Service students in Boyolali Regency.

Acting Head of Sambi Sub-district, Sarwanto, expressed his hopes for the UNDIP Community Service students. “We hope that UNDIP Community Service students who have completed their service in Boyolali Regency not only leave memories but also provide lasting benefits to the people of Boyolali,” he said.

The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, Dr. phil Dian Veronika Sakti Kaloeti, S.Psi., M.Psi., shared her thoughts with the Community Service students. “May these 40 meaningful days not only expand your friendships and enhance your cognitive skills but also forge your character, making you mature, resilient, adaptive, and sensitive to others,” she stated.

Some of the featured flagship products showcased by Community Service Team II students in Boyolali Regency included aromatherapy plate candles made from used cooking oil, Jatisari briquettes, a renewable energy-based solar-powered pest trap prototype, the development of the Bulu Setang Tourism Village website, the development of an application for learning the Arabic alphabet, the development of a GUI (Graphic User Interface) for variable association analysis, the production of liquid organic fertilizer from onion skins and rice water, and other featured products.
