Supporting the Healthy Campus Program: UNDIP Conducts Regular Health Checks for Staff

UNDIP, Semarang – In support of the Healthy Campus Program initiated by the Kementerian Kesehatan (Ministry of Health) the Republic of Indonesia, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) through its Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment Unit (UPT Keselamatan, Kesehatan Kerja, dan Lingkungan / UPT K3L) held an Integrated Development Post for Non-Communicable Diseases (Pos Binaan Terpadu Penyakit Tidak Menular / Posbindu PTM) at the Central Office on Friday (17/01) in the UNDIP Library Building.

Bina Kurniawan, S.KM., M.Kes., Head of UPT K3L UNDIP and Chair of the UNDIP Healthy Campus Team, explained that this program has become a routine agenda. At the central office, Posbindu targets faculty and administrative staff. The initiative aims to provide specific insights into individual health conditions, motivating participants to maintain regular health monitoring.

“This morning, at the start of 2025, we are launching the Posbindu PTM activities at UNDIP for faculty and staff at the central office. These activities include checking blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, uric acid levels, and measurements such as height, weight, and waist circumference to calculate the Body Mass Index (BMI),” Bina explained.

Posbindu PTM session also introduced mental health screening via a digital application, an innovation collaboratively developed by the Faculty of Psychology, UPT K3L, and the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering.

“Mental health screenings will be routinely conducted using the mental health application to facilitate early detection of employees’ mental health conditions,” he added.

The program targets 150 UNDIP staff at the central office. As part of the Healthy Campus Program, UNDIP also serves as a partner for Puskesmas Rowosari in meeting the health service targets of the Dinas Kesehatan (Health Office) of Semarang City.

The Posbindu PTM activities are supported by healthcare professionals from Puskesmas Bulusan, KSR-PMI UNDIP student volunteers, doctors from the Faculty of Medicine’s UP3 unit, and a research team from the Faculty of Psychology.

The 2025 Posbindu PTM schedule, held every two months, includes additional activities addressing physical and mental health, such as:

  2. February 20, 2025 (Thursday):Body Fat Measurement
  3. April 17, 2025 (Thursday):Ergonomic Work Posture Counseling
  4. June 14-19, 2025 (Thursday-Sunday):Blood Donation
  5. August 14, 2025 (Thursday):Mental Health Screening
  6. October 10, 2025 (Thursday):Body Fat Measurement
  7. November 13, 2025 (Thursday):Blood Donation

The Posbindu PTM initiative reflects UNDIP’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of its campus community and creating a healthy and productive campus environment. (DHW)
