UNDIP, Semarang (September 26, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), through the Directorate of Media Networks, Community, and Public Communication (Direktorat Jejak), Division IV, earned recognition in the field of Public Relations. At The 7th Anugerah Humas Indonesia (AHI) 2025, UNDIP won the Bronze Award in the Government Public Relations Program category, specifically in the subcategory of State Universities.
UNDIP’s public relations campaign, “Noble and Valuable UNDIP” was recognized by Indonesia’s communication professionals for the directorate’s performance. The achievement affirms UNDIP’s professionalism in public communication, consistently delivering inclusive, transparent, and impactful information.
UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed gratitude and appreciation for the award.
“We place public communication as an important part of UNDIP in supporting strategic programs toward becoming a World-Class University. I am proud that the Directorate of Media Networks, Community, and Public Communication has brought national recognition to UNDIP. The directorate plays a crucial role in communicating all UNDIP’s programs and achievements to strengthen public trust in the university,” he said.
Vice Rector for Research, Collaboration, Innovation, and Public Communication, Wijayanto, Ph.D., conveyed, “This award proves that UNDIP can compete at the national level, especially in practicing professional public communication. Moving forward, UNDIP will continue to strengthen this role in building the university’s reputation both nationally and internationally.”
Director of Media Networks, Community, and Public Communication, Dr. Nurul Hasfi, M.A., noted that this achievement was the result of a year-long team effort and serves as motivation to continue enhancing professionalism in public communication, thereby supporting UNDIP’s vision and mission.
The Anugerah Humas Indonesia (AHI) 2025 recorded 198 entries from 59 official institutions. The award ceremony became a moment for communication professionals across Indonesia to reaffirm their strategic role as the front line of accountability and public trust in their organizations.
AHI is a national award recognizing best practices in public relations across corporations, ministries, agencies, regional governments, and universities. Now in its seventh year, AHI 2025 carried the theme “Strengthening Innovation in Public Communication in the Digital Era.”
The judging process was conducted by an experienced panel in public communication, including: Asmono Wikan (CEO of PR INDONESIA Group), Jannete Maria Pinariya (Vice Rector I, LSPR Institute), Fachrudin Ali Ahmad (Public Relations Expert, Ministry of Health/BKPK; Chair of Iprahumas), Abdul Rahman Ma’mun (Chair of Indonesia’s Information Commission 2011–2013/CEO of Magnitude Indonesia), and Chrysanthi Tarigan (Head of Corporate Communications, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk).
With this AHI 2025 recognition, UNDIP further establishes its position as a university that excels not only in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service—but also in its commitment to advancing professional, inclusive, and innovative public communication.
