UNDIP, Jakarta (November 12, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) achieved national recognition by winning 2nd Place in the Best Social Media Category for Higher Education at the 2025 Anugerah Media Humas (AMH), organized by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi). In this competition, UNDIP highlighted its public communication on social media regarding renewable energy, one of the flagship programs of ‘Noble and Valuable UNDIP’.
The awarding ceremony took place at Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta, on Wednesday evening (12/11/2025), attended by hundreds of public relations professionals from various ministries, government agencies, local governments, SOEs, ROEs, and state universities.
In her remarks, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, emphasized that public communication is a crucial part of national development, not merely a supporting bureaucratic function.
“Public communication is not just an additional task—it is the heartbeat of national development. Public relations professionals are the navigators of public trust, serving as a bridge between the state and the people,” she said.
She added that the theme “Collaboration: PR in One Voice for an Advanced Indonesia” is highly relevant to Indonesia’s current context. At a time when information spreads instantly, the biggest challenge is no longer dissemination, but building narratives that are substantive, impactful, and mobilizing.
“One voice does not mean losing institutional identity or producing the same message. It is more about harmonizing the rhythm—synchronizing efforts so that messages are easier to understand and more effectively delivered,” Meutya Hafid added.
Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed his appreciation for this achievement. He stated that the award reflects national recognition of the hard work of UNDIP’s public communication team. This success, he said, is the result of synergy between UNDIP’s public communication unit and various faculties, research centers, and strategic partners in communicating UNDIP’s innovations and contributions to the nation. Moving forward, collaboration with the government’s public communication will continue to be strengthened to support public trust in the programs of state institutions.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, Collaboration, and Public Communication, Wijayanto, Ph.D., added that the achievement demonstrates national acknowledgment of the UNDIP public communication team’s dedication. UNDIP has many innovations that will continue to be communicated through internal media channels. The tagline ‘Noble and Valuable UNDIP’ aligns with the government’s current mission to promote innovation for national development.
Director of Media Networks, Community, and Public Communication at UNDIP, Dr. Nurul Hasfi, M.A., stated, “We highlighted renewable energy issues developed by UNDIP innovators who have made a real impact. We are committed to presenting public communication that is credible, contextual, and inspiring. Social media is a strategic platform for expanding the reach of research, innovation, and humanitarian values promoted by UNDIP.”

In her report, Fifi Aleyda Yahya, Director General of Public Communication and Media at Komdigi, noted that AMH 2025 was attended by 350 representatives from government institutions, including ministries/agencies, local governments, state-owned enterprises, regional offices, and state universities. This year, 190 institutions registered, and 154 PR works passed the curation stage to be judged by the panel.
