UNDIP, Semarang (November 30, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), through the Planning and Development Board (BPP), held a Coaching Clinic on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Development as part of its assistance program for the transformation of the Indonesian Institute of Arts and Culture (ISBI) Aceh into a Public Service Agency State University (PTN-BLU). The event, held at Santika Premiere Hotel Semarang from 28–30 November 2025, is part of the ongoing UNDIP–ISBI Aceh collaboration to strengthen academic governance within higher education institutions in the arts and culture.
The event was officially opened by the Head of BPP UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Ir. Purwanto, DEA. In his remarks, Prof. Purwanto emphasized that this assistance is a strategic step to support ISBI Aceh’s transition from PTN-Satker to PTN-BLU. “This is a great opportunity as we enter the second year of collaboration with ISBI Aceh. Several initiatives will be carried out together to support ISBI Aceh’s transformation,” he said.
Furthermore, Prof. Purwanto highlighted that the next important step is ensuring that the university plays an optimal role in developing scientific disciplines and attracting students. “We have many resources, but if they are not introduced, people will not know about them. Therefore, program managers must actively promote their study programs to various government and private institutions,” he explained.
The Coaching Clinic invited experts to ensure the OBE-based curriculum is formulated correctly. “What our graduates will become and what competencies they will have will be elaborated in the OBE curriculum, making the outcomes clear and measurable. We hope this activity brings new perspectives for ISBI Aceh, especially for young lecturers who are the drivers of future transformation,” Prof. Purwanto concluded.
At the same event, ISBI Aceh’s Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Ratri Candrasari, M.Pd., expressed appreciation for UNDIP’s assistance. She explained that ISBI Aceh had begun developing its OBE curriculum, and the Coaching Clinic with UNDIP experts would strengthen their competence.
“We are very grateful to meet experienced experts. This forum not only broadens our insights but also lays an important foundation for implementing the curriculum later, which will certainly come with challenges. We seek guidance on how to implement it appropriately. Let us partner to grow together,” she said.
The session continued with a presentation on materials by UNDIP’s Director of Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr.nat.tech. Siswo Sumardiono, S.T., M.T., discussing OBE implementation under the theme “Updating the OBE Curriculum for Study Programs in Alignment with Permendiktisaintek No. 39 of 2025.”
The presentation sparked enthusiastic responses, with participants actively asking questions and sharing their views, making the session interactive and insightful.
Next, participants joined technical sessions on curriculum development, divided into three groups and mentored by the UNDIP Review Team, including:
- Prof. Dr.nat.tech. Siswo Sumardiono, S.T., M.T., Director of Academic Affairs
- Dr. Ir. Limbang Kustiawan Nuswantara, S.Pt., M.P., IPU., Deputy Director of Academic Affairs
- Dr. Naniek Utami Handayani, S.Si., M.T., Head of the Internal Quality Assurance Center

In the final session, UNDIP and ISBI Aceh reviewed and formulated follow-up plans to ensure the curriculum is finalized and implemented on schedule. ISBI Aceh’s Vice Rector for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs, Dr. Ir. Marwan, S.Si., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., stated that the OBE development journey began mid-year, and this activity serves as a significant momentum for lecturers.
“This is very valuable for lecturers and will directly impact the quality of our graduates. Do not forget to complete and perfect this process,” he emphasized.
Dr. Marwan further expressed hope that the OBE curriculum would be ready soon. “We hope that in the upcoming odd semester, the OBE curriculum can already be implemented as part of our efforts to transform ISBI Aceh from PTN-Satker to PTN-BLU,” he added.
This assistance is expected to serve as a strong foundation for ISBI Aceh in developing a relevant, adaptive curriculum capable of producing competent graduates in arts and culture, both nationally and internationally. (Public Communication/UNDIP/Dhany)
