UNDIP, Semarang (December 1, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) held a Public Lecture by the President Director of Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) in conjunction with the Orientation Program for recipients of the Indonesia Smart Card–College (KIP-K) for 2025. Taking place at the Muladi Dome Multipurpose Building, Tembalang Campus, on Monday, December 1, 2025, the event carried the theme “Building a Resilient, Intelligent, and Integrity-Driven Generation toward Indonesia Emas 2045”. Hundreds of KIP-K student recipients attended it. This agenda served as a comprehensive learning forum for students to strengthen character, financial literacy, mental resilience, and national insight.
The Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., opened the event by inviting all participants to offer prayers for communities in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra currently affected by floods and landslides. He conveyed that over the past two days, UNDIP had prepared assistance in the form of large-capacity water purification machines and coordinated the deployment of the Diponegoro–Disaster Assistance Response Team (D-DART), consisting of doctors, medical personnel, and trauma-healing companions in collaboration with Diktisaintek. “This is part of cultivating compassion and empathy. When our brothers and sisters are suffering, our hearts feel it too. UNDIP has also opened donations so that we can be present in giving our very best,” he said.
In his message to the students, the Rector emphasized the importance of one’s social environment and literacy culture. “You’re what you read, you’re what your friends [are],” he said, reminding students that anyone can achieve success by diligently seizing the opportunities of their time. Prof. Suharnomo also expressed his appreciation for the presence of the BTN President Director, who shared perspectives and inspiration on sustainability, digital transformation, and financial competencies relevant to the future. “Continue the good practices of our teachers. Don’t be easily discouraged or lazy. Opportunities are wide open, and success awaits all of you,” he encouraged.

Serving as the main speaker, the President Director of Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), Nixon L.P. Napitupulu, delivered a presentation titled Green Financing in the Digital Era for a Sustainable Economy. He highlighted the critical role of the banking sector in responding to digital technological developments and climate change, and in supporting the transition toward a green economy. Nixon emphasized that climate change has now become the world’s most significant global risk, affecting economic stability, public health, and global security.
“BTN continues to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its business strategy, including through renewable energy financing, green infrastructure development, and innovative programs such as ‘Pay Your Installments with Your Waste.’ This program not only reduces household waste accumulation, but also helps ease the financial burden of subsidized mortgage (KPR) beneficiaries through the exchange of sorted waste for payment points,” he explained.
BTN is also developing various sustainability initiatives, including financing for low-emission housing, implementing entirely paperless BTN Digital Store services, and supporting Indonesia’s green finance ecosystem. Through these steps, BTN seeks to create adaptive, responsible, and future-oriented financial services.

The public lecture was moderated by Dr. Ir. Abdul Syakur, S.T., M.T., creating an interactive atmosphere through discussion prompts and a Q&A session. On this occasion, BTN presented tangible support to UNDIP in the form of one Toyota Hiace Commuter ambulance unit, 100 fruit plants in pots for campus greening initiatives, and one Toyota Rush vehicle to support operational activities. This assistance reaffirmed BTN’s position as a strategic partner of UNDIP in strengthening services and delivering broader benefits to society.
The next session featured Annastasia Ediati, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D., Head of the UPT for Counseling Services, Disability Services, Discipline Enforcement, and Student Ethics (LKDPDEM), who delivered material entitled “Mindful KIP-K Students: Building Mental Health for the KIP-K Golden Generation.” She discussed stress dynamics experienced by first-year students, coping strategies, and adaptive skills needed during the early stages of university life.
According to her, students need to develop a growth mindset, recognize their own capacities, and maintain a balance in life to avoid becoming trapped by academic pressure. “Students do not have to be perfect, but they must continue to grow and be resilient,” she emphasized. This material became an essential provision so that KIP-K students can complete their studies optimally while preparing their resilience to face future challenges.

The student development session also featured Abdullah Malik Islam Filardi, S.T., M.T., a lecturer at the Vocational School and an alumnus of UNDIP’s Bidikmisi scholarship program, who shared his achievements and academic journey. He emphasized that economic limitations are not an obstacle to achievement and success. With discipline, the courage to try, and the utilization of various research funding and competition opportunities, students can achieve accomplishments at national and even international levels. This inspirational testimony is expected to motivate KIP-K recipients to be active in organizations, participate in scientific competitions, and continuously enhance their personal capacity.
The event also introduced the KIP-K student development ecosystem, managed by the Kamadiksi UNDIP organization, which, since 2013, has served as a platform for strengthening character, welfare, soft skills, and achievement networks among students. Programs such as KIP-K Teaching, Research Academy, Entrepreneurship, and Environmental Service demonstrate the role of KIP-K students as agents of change who excel not only academically but also in contributing tangible benefits to society.
The collaboration between UNDIP and BTN in this activity reflects the synergy between higher education institutions, the banking sector, and society in preparing the Golden Generation 2045 to become an intelligent, productive, competitive generation with strong social and environmental awareness.
